Jul 04, 2022 · I am new to this and was wanting to see if anyone could help me or has had similar issues as I have. My dad had a John Deere 310D 4x4 backhoe with open cab. He recently passed away but before he did he said that the parking brake was locked on it. It will not move in forward or reverse and I don't hear anything when I put it in drive or reverse.

If your oil is low in the reverser (dipstick in door in front of windshield, right side) you may have this type of problem. But the dipstick under the floor is your 4 speed transmission and axle, final drive and brake system.

Jan 14, 2018 · Sooo, gotta good one for anyone who likes a challenge. 1997 Deere 310D backhoe with what appears to be a reverser problem. Forward is weak when it turns on but at least it'll move, when it warms up no forward at all. Reverse always works fine with what seems like full power. Had to drive a couple kilometers back to the mechanic in reverse today
